Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

“EFT is at the forefront of the new healing movement.”
- Candance Pert

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. This treatment sprang from the idea that "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system.” One of the EFT rules is “try it on everything” so no matter what you may be struggling with EFT is likely to be able to help.

EFT (Tapping)

EFT is a practical method that involves using the fingers to gently tap on the body's acupuncture points along the meridian lines of Chinese medicine. It is often referred to as ‘EFT Tapping’ or simply as ‘Tapping’. The therapeutic effects of this technique are recognised around the world and it offers healing from physical and emotional pain and disease.

There are a large number of scientific studies showing the effectiveness of EFT. One can use EFT tapping for anxiety, depression, weight loss issues, pain, PTSD, chronic pain, stress and many other issues.

After years of working with talking therapy, I now see EFT as a missing link that works to release the emotions that are trapped in our body from previous pain, memories, trauma and illness. I've often found that even after  talking things through thoroughly and having all the logical knowledge about why we might behave or think in a certain way, we can still feel trapped in old patterns of feeling and behaviour. EFT facilitates a release and unburdening of these once and for all, so you can move forward in a way that suits you.

I will teach you how to tap on yourself so this becomes a tool you can rely on and return to frequently, even when you are away from the therapy room.
